Feedback from a Conservapedia editor who declined permission for their name to be used: I read it this evening, and have to say that I am very sorry to hear you went through all that. You certainly didn't deserve the way you were treated by some of the other Sysops. I was particularly irritated to see that such vulgar personal comments were made towards you, and by the totally unfair way you were treated in being deleted from the discussion group, when remarks that were 100 times worse were made about you. Very unfair. You stuck it out a long time, longer than most would, and I think leaving was the right decision. I also slowly over time have become disillusioned with Conservapedia. Consequently, I have not edited in over a month. When DanH left, I almost did as well. It was a big loss to the site, he was a true Christian, a man of strong beliefs and moral values. Fox and I had corresponded several times, and I knew him to be a kind and decent person. When he was banned, I thought it was very unfair and I believed that it was done for personal reasons. With the exit of each good editor, and Sysop, from Conservapedia, my enthusiasm for the wiki grew duller. You were one of the few remaining Sysops with sense, grace, and good character, and now that you have left, quite frankly, I don't see any reason to continue editing there either. | Timeline22nd November, 2006 Conservapedia is created 17th March, 2007 I join Conservapedia 3rd April, 2007 I am made an Administrator 25th April, 2007 First Admin. e-mail group. 25th May, 2007 Ed Poor proposes me as "template manager". 5th January, 2008 Letter to Andy about wise counsel 28th April, 2008 Bugler joins Conservapedia around June, 2008 I'm feeling more and more uncomfortable with associating myself with Conservapedia. 11th June, 2008 Bugler gains block rights. 17th June, 2008 I start writing these pages. 20th June, 2008 DanH quits. 31st December, 2008 Bugler loses rights. 1st January, 2009 CPAdmin1 quits. 2nd January, 2009 Bugler outs himself. 22nd March, 2009 I resign |
