Wirrianda Philosophy Prize

The unfortunate reality of academic philosophy is that although female students out-number males, women continue to be poorly represented at the professional level. This prize is designed to offer some small encouragement to women to persist with philosophical study beyond the undergraduate level.

The Wirrianda Philosophy Prize is named in recognition of my parents' support. It is based at La Trobe University, Melbourne and is awarded at the commencement of Honours to the female student who is the top ranked philosophy major.
