This is a 10 minute Dark Frame taken with a QHY8. Only a stretch was applied.
Note how low the noise is, this is why no Dark frames are normally required.
Save time doing Dark frames for some occasions, and use the extra time for exposing.

This is why dark frames on these CCD sensors are needed.
