1971 was a time
of sex drugs and rock n roll. Having sex with your instrument while on
drugs nearly always led to rock n roll. 1971 was also the year that the
world was first exposed to the greatest werewolf/biker flick of all
time “Werewolves on wheels”. Always a favorite with a few of the
Horrahedd members, it was decided that although the film had a ‘groovy’
soundtrack, it needed a little horrahedding.
So in 2004 we jammed out our own trashadelic soundtrack for the movie. This new
jammed soundtrack heightened our appreciation of the wolf in leather
movie, and thus was born the Jamming with werewolves on wheels project.
To keep true to the 1971 feel of the movie all songs were performed
live on nothing more than Drums, Bass, Wurlitzer electric piano and
Hammond organ. This album contains musical renditions of a couple of
werewolf attacks, Motorcycle chases, monk beatings and naked ladies
dancing with snakes.
It also ends with an audio documentary called the making of Jamming
with werewolves on wheels which will probably give you no insight into
how the album was made
Mr Glenn on Hammond and wurlie electric piano
Rattie on Bass
The Colonel on Drums and Farts
Johnnie Cutter on Ox
