I have been doing patchwork since the mid 1990s. Initially patchwork was just one of many "crafts" - embroidery, knitting, etc. Since then it seems to have taken over nearly all my craft time. Like many new quilters, I didn't keep a record of my early patchwork before I gave it away, so most of the early pieces are not recorded here.
By the way, I think of what I do as "craft". Some patchwork is truly "art", but I'm no artist - I do not have the eye (or training) for light, composition, design, etc. Doing a craft well is no mean feat and to me, it is just is not inferior to "art". "Art" and "craft" are just labels to me and if you want to use them to put down someone else's work, then go elsewhere.
