Visiting clubs would be pleasantly surprised by the new facilities as the changing rooms are spacious, showers plentiful and clubrooms capable of providing everything a hungry and thirsty footballer requires. Club facilities include, 4 Dressing rooms, one room for the home side, one for the referees, and the remaining two for opposition teams. Each room is 8x8m complete with hot showers, 2 of the dressing rooms are currently being used as a conditioning gym during the preseason.
The clubhouse is complete with a kitchen, bar (of course) and a large floor space, which can be used to hold functions, or hired out (as one karate club currently is). Decking is provided at both sides of the clubhouse with this to be extended around the entire building in the future. The elevated sideline view is unique in Mackay Football and offers the spectators a fantastic viewpoint.
There are two fields that are in use at the moment, the Bob Harvey Field and the main field. Bob Harvey Field is used as a training paddock and has lighting. All main games are played on the main field below the western side of clubhouse. Wanderers are aiming to have lights fitted on the main field by the 2008 season. A third field will be constructed below the eastern side of the clubhouse in the future. These are some of many more projects to go ahead at Wanderers in the future.
