Pendragon Dreaming - Our Music

Practically all of our music is taken from traditional songs and tunes by Welsh artists.  Many are very old; some going back perhaps hundreds of years. The music and songs are a history of the Welsh people's amazing and unrelenting struggle to retain our culture and language. To retain it as an occupied people and in the face of one of the most successful, modern, colonial powers and that most prolific of languages; English.

The songs include lullabies, folk tales, myths,  they include battle songs and marches, hymns, songs of defiance and inspiration and more often than not songs of the countryside and of love, particularly of that longing that is a trait of the Celts, which in our language; Cymraeg we call `hiraeth'.

The songs are a chronicle of the evolution of the Ancient Briton's transformation to the  modern Welsh people, or `Cymry'. We sing them in Cymraeg, the poetic and soulful language they were written in.

We hope they will warm your soul and spirit like they have ours.
