A Prayer for the Victorian Bushfire Victims

Look upon your children with mercy, I pray,
Those who have great loss;
loss of loved ones, pets, and stock;
loss of homes, income and memories,
Comfort them in their hour of need and
supply them with the necessities of life, and then some.
Enable them to find shelter cruelly taken away from them.

Almighty God, convince us to give generously,
not only with our finances, but in any way we can help.
Heal the broken hearted so that victims may find
selfless love and goodness in their fellow man.
Give them he overcoming strength that they will need
in the times ahead and comfort all who mourn in this
sunburnt land of red dust plains. Amen.
