Mustard is a
fun, activities based event designed for kids in grades 3
- 5. The name Mustard comes from a verse in the Bible,
Matthew
17:20 “for assuredly, I say
to you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you will say to
this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing
will be impossible for you”.
We believe that young people can do
great
things.
Mustard is run through Cardinia Christian
Centre. It is a program that
our youth (Gr 6 - Yr 12) put on for your children in grades 3 -
5.
They realised that there was a lack of fun
things, where you can be
with your friends and meet new friends, for kids in Pakenham. So they
decided to do something about it. Rick and Kass Taylor spent 4 months
working with our young leaders to come up with a suitable program and
training them how to lead and run it.
Yes that's right, Mustard is a fortnightly
program run by a fantastic
group of young people who are from Cardinia Christian Centre and active
members of V8 Youth. This gives them the opportunity to learn how to be
awesome leaders of the future. They are very interested in creating a
fun and safe environment for all our kids to come and enjoy themselves.
Also as part of each Mustard event one of our
leaders will give a short
talk or devotion on a relevant subject for kids.
Rick and Kass are at all events and supervise
all activities. We also
have people on call to assist as needed.
Mustard runs once a fortnight on a Friday at the
Uniting Church hall in
Pakenham (James Street) from 7:00pm - 8:30pm (unless otherwise noted).
We would appreciate if you could come in, meet us and sign your
kids and their friends in.
Mustard runs on the opposite
Friday to V8 Youth during the school term. Contact
Rick for
more details of Mustard or to get a copy of the program.
