The Camping Reserves
South Beach A Reserve in Mason Smith Road is a beach loving family's haven. 27 of the 50 sites are powered. The reserve is immediately adjacent to the beach which is protected, shallow and very suitable for children. Here and in other reserves, koalas are often seen in the many gum trees throughout the Camping Grounds.
Koala B Reserve situated opposite the general store is also well suited to families, particularly those with special or unusual requirements. 12 of the 35 sites are powered. This area is quiet and secure and the Park Manager's residence and office are in this reserve. There is a playground and a small creek along one boundary, where youngsters can try their luck at fishing. The rotunda shelter and barbecues are easily accessed from this reserve.
East Beach C Reserve has much to offer those making use of the nearby Yacht Club. just over the dunes from another fine beach, campers can join in the busy life of the boating enthusiasts, or find complete solitude further up the beach toward Somers. C Reserve has 28 sites, all unpowered.
Each of the camping reserves has a toilet and shower block, with water taps throughout. Existing and future facilities include a gas BBQ in each reserve and a Recreation Centre in B reserve, providing a kitchen and recreation/ leisure area for campers. A toddlers playground provides a sandpit and play equipment suitable for children under the age of five.
