Welcome to our web site.  We have created this site to offer a little bit of background information about the high quality health services we offer, our caring staff and the team of doctors that work tirelessly to ensure the continued health of you and your loved ones.

The centre was first established in July 1985 by Dr Malpas.  Since then there have been many changes, with the rapid growth of the surgery, and major refurbishments in 1992,1997 and 2004. We have been a training clinic for General Practitioners and Medical Students from Queensland University and JCU Medical School. This has proved to be a rewarding experience for doctors, staff, patients and of course the students themselves.
 

In 1999 the surgery was one of the first in the Townsville/ Thuringowa region to receive accreditation by AGPAL (Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited). This process ensures that we provide the best of facilities, staff, privacy, medical record keeping, and sterilisation procedures as is expected of a modern Australian General Practice. In 2005 we were granted a further 3 years accreditation; again one of the first in Townsville/Thuringowa to do so. To find out more about accreditation go to www.qip.com.au
