In May of 1994, the club purchased a site of 12 acres situated at Buckleys Road, Lake Gillear. The limestone base of the track was put down in early 1998. In December 1998, the curbing for the track was poured in preparation for the hot mix to be laid. The hot mix was laid in mid-August 1999. The track was first driven on in November 1999. Our first official race meeting was held on January 16, 2000.
Meetings
General Meetings are held in the club rooms after club days. All are welcome to attend. Come and find out how the club is going and how to get into the sport of karting.
Race Meetings (club days - Warrnambool drivers only) are usually held on the last Sunday of the month. Open race meetings, open to all karters, are held twice a year - check the Club Calendar for exact dates. |
