This site has been constructed by the author, Mike Subocz VK3AVV, to distribute primarily the VK Contest Log (VKCL), a contest logging program that may be of use to Amateur Radio operators who participate in various contests throughout the year, particularly those that are of interest mainly in Australasia. Although there are many logging programs already available, free or for nominal cost, few if any do an adequate job for contests that are of local interest only. However, as the author would prefer to use the same logging program for all contests that he is interested in, VKCL also caters for major international contests such as Oceania DX, ARRL, CQWW, etc.
If you are interested only in downloading a copy of the latest version of VKCL, go directly to the download page, but you may miss out on possibly useful information if you do not occasionally check the contest and other information pages too, entered via the Menu.

| 1st July 2009 There are NO updates for the two contests in July that are supported by VKCL. All updates for Jack Files contest were included in the current Ver 2.17, so please use that version if you are participating. Any version from Ver 2.10 onwards is OK for the IARU contest, but you should consider updating to get the new backup facility. A backup facility has been implemented in VKCL so that the contest database can be frequently backed up to a USB drive manually and/or automatically.
